After a few years' vacation, I took a leisurely trip over to onlinecomics.net, only to discover that sometime in my absence - let's say August 2009 - that the site died an unceremonious death and was mourned by few. This is really bumming me out. I did a quick perusal of the internet to see if a similar site had risen up to fill the niche. Nada. What gives? Do people not read crappy webcomics by repressed teenagers anymore?
Okay. Well, we still have smackjeeves I guess.
I suppose I just miss the feeling of having a centralized hub where all comics could just kinda hang out so I could browse them all at once. I managed to meet some cool fellow authors that way, and now I've been out of the habit of reading webcomics for so long I don't even know what's being made anymore. Even if I officially started up again, where would I advertise? I miss knowing there was an ounce of stability in this freeform art of comic-doing!
Anyone wanna get me up to speed?
